Every train that runs between Constanta and Mangalia is pulled by a DA,or a GM.
At the moment there are a few Regio trains and the onlyIR 1822 that runs between the two stations,but in summer time as the seazon comes , we'll have there many trains that come from within Romania's bigest cities and go to Mantagalia.At the moment the trains are pulled mostly by DA locomotives but in the season as many season trains have AC cars we'll need to bring GM from adjacent sections and pull trains there ,and supply power to the cars.

I was hoping maybe a member who lives in Constanta or Mangalia may have seen the Arad IR recently if it had a DA or GM on it, If it's a DA i will go to Mangalia for it next week when i am over, If it's a GM i will not has i will be visiting the Mangalia line again in the summer when there are more GM's around there.

When i visit next week i will be travelling all around looking for DA's on the passenger trains so i can travel on them, I will also be travelling on the lines from Oravita to Iam and Anina.

There are very few trains hauled by DA locomotives, esspecially after most of the brench lines were either closed or given to private companies (that use their own rolling stock formed mostly of ex-SNCF and ex-DB DMUs). For example, there are NO DA locomotives in Bucharest any more (rarelly you can see one) at passengers trains (but there are a lot of GFR locomotives). Also, most trains arround Sibiu are formed by Desiro or VT614 DMUs. You will have a lot of ground to cover in search of CFR 060-DA locomotives. I'm sure that the members of this forum will post messages with trains hauled by DA locomotives. Arround Iaşi, Galaţi, Sighetu Marmaţiei and Oradea should be some 060-DA locomotives on daily service.

Sorry i do not poses the correct information.I think it is a GM loco ,but it may very well be one of the others , a DA with power couple,or a 82 series LDH with Caterpillar engine.There are lots of trains stil pulled by DA locomotives mainly on non electrified rail ways like Urziceni,Razboieni-Tirgu Mures,Iasi-Vaslui,etc.Have a nice trip in Romania.

I will be visiting Line 600 Tecuci - Iasi and Line 405 Deda - Targu Mures so will find some DA's there.

May also visit Jibou, Dej and Line 409 to Sighetu

Hopefully it will be nice sunny weather like it is in the UK at the moment so i can get some nice photographs.

The trains from Ploieşti to Urziceni are hauled by class 82 LDH, and the trains to/from Bucharest by GMs. The DA locomotives are only used when nothing else is available.

In Târgu Mureş you will find some DA locomotives (probably the most CFR Călători DA locomotives in the same place, there are pictures taken in Tg. Mureş station with 3 DAs!).
If you are going to Dej, you should not miss the Dej Triaj Yard, where they have the first 060-DA locomotive delivered to C.F.R. in 1959.

Pe 7 aprilie o sa merg la cu IR 382 Sofia-Moscova de la PL.Sud la Adjud. Ajunge la 10:47 in Adjud iar la 11:00 am o duba de prins. Trenul asta mai circula intarziat ?? Cine l-a vazut sau are date concrete sa stiu daca merg cu el daca nu oricum o sa merg cu el dar nu mai prind duba de 11:00 care ma lasa la 3 km de casa, asa merg cu duba de 12:00 care ma lasa la 7 km de casa bunicilor.

Am mers o singură dată cu trenul ăsta, prin decembrie. A avut o oră jumate întârziere, mergând la un bloc în spatele lui IR 1655.

Eu l-am vazut de multe ori anul trecut in excursiile mele pe M500 si de fiecare data era intarziat.

Trenul international Moscova - Sofia are mereu intarziere.

am mers si eu pe la jumatea luni decembrie si in perioada aceea avea zilnic intre 40 mis si 60 min, dar surpriza la gara cand m-am prezentat in ultimul moment in ziua respectiva a avut numai 5-10 min a mers timpuriu pana la Padureni Putna cand a a asteptat din sens invers un Regio, si uite asa a ajuns cu 20 min int la Adjud.

O sa ma interesez zilele urmatoare la gara sa vad ce intarzieri are in fiecare zi.
