Hi,all Romanian colleagues

Does anybody know whether in Ploiesti there is a connection with a public transport line between the two railway stations Vest and Sud ? And also if there is some what is the price, how much time does it take the ride, and at what period of time (how many minuntes) do the buses/trams run ? Thanks in advance.

Yes... number 2

yes it is a bus number 2 the price of the ticket is 2 lei, and it makes from ploiesti vest to ploiesti sud aprox. 45 minutes

Tickets: 1 fare = 1,6 RON; 2 fares = 3,2 RON; 1 day pass for all lines = 6,3 RON
When you get down from the train in Ploieşti Vest you will see the tram terminal. The bus stop is near the tram stop. On the right of the terminal you will find the ticket selling point. You can't buy tickets inside the bus. The ticket must be validated inside the bus, there are several types of validators... there are digital ones, that stamps the detail of the fare on the ticket and the classic ones, that will punch holes into the ticket. Wathc the other passengers how they proceed. It's important to validate your ticket, because you might be asked by the controll team to show the ticket (the ussually stop the bus between stops and get in to check the tickets).
The time of a ride is about 25 minutes, not 45. There are various types of buses running on line 2 (MAN SL 222, SL 223, SL 283, Ikarus 260 and 280, Karosa, BMC). The same stop is used by buses 4 and 222.

Podul e aproape gata, pe firul 1 e deja instalata linia si catenara, mai e ceva de lucru la firul 2 si cred ca din august sau septembrie vor da drumul la circulatie!

For Braşov I suggest using a dirrect train from Bucharest... this way you will be sure you don't get into the wrong car.

Good note but this time I hope everything will be all right We are planning a trip from Ploiesti Vest to Brasov with IR 1621 because from the clips you post we see that it is the only train with coaches whose windows could be entirely opened. And that's the most exciting part for every railway fan, I think To watch beautiful landscapes, to feel fresh air from outdoors while viewing the beuties and listening to the sound of the boogies and so on. In one word feeling the passion of the train travel Furthermore, it will be cheaper to us using a Regio from Bucuresti to Ploiesti Sud. Hope we won't go wrong with the bus if we come to Romania We also think about coming with the summer train 1470 Varna-Budapest keleti in order to use a Hungarian coach and it will be chepaer to go to Videle from Ruse with it and from there with Regio to Bucuresti
