| Hello!
sorry, I don’t speak romanian, maybe I make mistakes by using this forum (...), but maybe someone can help me: I want to take photos about the only 614 the TFG uses in 2 weeks. Last year the train was only riding Cluj – Oradea, is it still the same? Or is the 614 going also to Caransebes/Bistrita/Targu Mures?

| HELLO and welcome to our forum! The TFC trains routes in Transylvania are: Cluj - Oradea, Cluj - Razboieni - Alba Iulia - Deva - Lugoj - Caransebes, Cluj - Razboieni - Targu Mures (Only on Friday and Sunday), Cluj Napoca - Dej - Bistrita. There are also some TFC trains that runs on the south of the country. I think you are interested about the Transylvanian routes. | The TFG 614 is going now from Cluj to Oradea and Bistrita. Early morning the 614 goes from Bistrita to Cluj, at 11:52 goes from Cluj to Oradea and evening goes from Cluj to Bistrita. At nights the 614 stays in Bistrita. |

| Acesta este singurul automotor fost 614 de la TFC daca nu ma insel.

Probabil ca va fi adus pe sectia 801 Bucuresti 23 august - Oltenita. Celelalte din seria 614 au fost modificate si apartin celor de la CFR Calatori. |

Yes, I was on the mersul trenurilor of the tfg-site. Norbi, thanks for your information, for that plan I was exactly looking! But I have another question: In a german newspaper they say, that the only TFG 614 will be modernised similar to the CFR 614 (as situated in Sibiu), is this true?
By the way: I used google translator for your forum, but translation only works when I am offline! I cannot write a message online with translation, so I dont know which buttons to press... I will try it now again... Maybe your webmaster can put my message to the right place...

I don't think so and let me tell you why. The CFR class 76 (ADH 11) it's practically all new diesel multiple unit. It has new diesel engines, new AC units, new(refurbished) bogies, transmission, electric systems, cabin with improved controls(dashboard) and ergonomics for the engineer and God knows what new systems. So a lot of money invested by CFR in class 76 money that a private operator like TFG doesn't has. CFR is the national operator so budget financed. In Romania most private operators are not interested in such a modernization like CFR class 76 they are only interested of their good functionality with minimum investment. And by that i mean, few glass windows changed were it's needed, few chair's changed, repairs on the diesel engine and transmission if needed and maybe a new paint job. So i think you should be relaxed because the TFG VT 614 class it will stay the same as today because TFG accuired from Holland 13 DH2 units that need urgent repairs. Maybe a new paint job for VT 614 like TFG VT 624 in the distant future. They don't have the money to upgrade it(VT 614) like CFR class 76. Have a nice evening. |

| Der elleinig 614 triebwagen, wobei ist bei TFG in die Zukunft wir erneuern und hat gehabt ein neu Äusser, als das weitere 614 triebwagen, wobei ist bei CFR. (Gewiss Information auf TFG!) Empfehlung aus dem Rumänien, Norbi. |

| Thank you for your information and suggestions. Now I am a little more relaxed. But I will say, that I also couldn´t imagine the TFG would do such a renovation... Inbetween I read in your nice forum, that in Oradea I will get the chance to see the TFG and the CFR type, so I will try them both...
