How useful such trains would be to us... Sadly, they will buy new EMUs instead of using these trainsets, which are better than most of the newly built low-floor vehicles.

When I'm honest, I don't think these trains above are usefull for Romania, because they from the late 1970's, so they are pretty old. The 2-parts trainsets dont have magneticbrakes, what can cause problems on wet slippery tracks. These trains are disreputable among traindrivers because of slipping in automn periods. Also the V-max of 120 km/h is not high.




I think this trainset has higher potential to export to Romania from Olanda, like the DH2. These trains are built in 1996-1998 and are out of employ in 2018 when the last unelectrified section where NS trains are running is taken over by a private company with newer low floor trains. There are 48 of this DM90 and 22 of them has just undergone a large revision in 2014. I really hope these trains get a second live, because they are fine and not old.
Some have even German Indusi because they also served some lines from Netherlands to Germany.
